Pull the stator cover and look for a loose bolt between the flywheel and stator. I've seen this one several times on a banshee.

ok dumb question it my first banshee only had it a weeks wheres the stator cover Sorry????

left side where shift is..............#2 how's the oil in it run it low it will also give you a ticking sound....

when i take the cover off does the clutch or anything fall out and also i have to drain the oil prior to doing this right, when i pill the dipstick out there a line that i fill it to on that its just a hair above it so im sure its right i was told 1.8 quarts

Left side is stator side. No oil under that cover. Right side is clutch. Much oil under there.

Me thinks you need to start in Banshee Kindergarden...Buy a Clymer manual, read it and look at your bike as you do. Keep in mind that things might be a little different with your Mods.

I suggest this because, the lack of information could cause you do damage or cost you more money in the long run.

Yeah, if that tick turns into a rattle dont be womping on it... If they are cast pistons you could have a

skirt coming apart or something doin with the pistons/rings... My neighbor learned the hard way with

his blaster... Just tear it down and take a look...

"Dont be wompin on it!!!!" is right! lol Wompin

I bought a blown up banshee a few yrs back.. rebuilt it with all new parts.. and it ticked.. i've replaced everything I thought it could be.. Reeds, oustide crank bearings, all new topend. port chamfers, transmission bearings, water pump bearings everything seems ok.. all clearances are in check also... i've had the motor split 3 times looking for problems. but ikeep coming up with nothing... so... I'm just running it till/if it blows.. then I'll know what the problem is! lol

I'm thinking it might be a center bearing on the crank.. It spun freely last time I checked the crank so when we tear it down for the 4mil this winter I'll go through and dbl check everything again.. but I dont think i'm gonna find anything again lol
