I thought you got new reeds?

but if they are bad what should be looked for and how would the bike act. could it still be jetted?

let me put it this way. i would look for holes in the peddles and hold it up to the light to see if it seals. if it dont at low rpm idle the reeds wont shut and the bike will bog off idle and mid if bad. Correct?

as the piston moves back down it push the reeds closed alowing the fuel air mixture to move around in the motor and the pipe to push it back into the cylinder with forcing the air and fuel back out through the carbs. thats about as basic as i can put it

see when the green pushes down when the piston moves down and stops where ther reeds are.

different reed problems cause different things. not closing all the way causes down low and mid to suck, up high you can almost run without reeds. broken reeds almost the same thing if a peddle breakss youll know cause it can jam in the piston and that side will be dead at idle, i had a blaster that one side of the reeds almost fell off cause teh screws came loose ran fine just sitting there idling but had NO power exccept up top.

that advice is what i gave but he needed to hear it from more members. his reeds are new but every thing he told me pointed to them. there is a chance the reeds are good but its process of elimination. thanks again.
