350power Posted July 23, 2008 Report Posted July 23, 2008 Ok a couple of weeks ago i got a new 02 banshee. Its completely stock. and it aint running for some reason. rode it once before it quit running. it was a little faster then my friends but something or someone did something to it i think. i leave it down at the farm where anybody could really steal it. so im gonna get it fixed. Now which should i buy first. Setup right now completley stock. Got about 1000 to 1500 to get it started. 1. Toomey t5 or some cpi's 2. port job. 3. +4 timing plate 4. new tires or some other stuf. f feedback please. i want it to be fast but i can ony get to the dunes twice a year to really let her rip. i live on a farm that has some pretty good open feilds. i let her rip in the usually. snowmanzz13 Posted July 23, 2008 Report Posted July 23, 2008 if you want to get into drags, i would say side with the CPI's, if your doing lots of wide open riding then cpi's should do you good, t5's dont have the top end like cpi's Quote
badassbanshee479 Posted July 24, 2008 Report Posted July 24, 2008 for some one with a bone stock bike, I would start off with a timing plate, pipes (t-5s or cpis are really good cause they respond to porting well.) throw a head on it with some higher compression domes, reeds, and a torrs eliminator kit and you should be rippin!!! then when ya get used to the new found power and want more, have it ported and or stroked! okbeast Posted July 24, 2008 Report Posted July 24, 2008 Sounds great, maybe some carbs next, but alot of port jobs respond well to the stock carbs, or at least mine did. I've got some CPI's I'm selling if you're interested. Quote
Onesickcrewcab Posted September 6, 2008 Report Posted September 6, 2008 I would say CPI in frames, carbs, and port job. Thing will rip. Quote
