bansheesickness Posted July 18, 2008 Report Posted July 18, 2008 well first if you messed with the idle, start there and adjust it untill it idles right. i would also make shure you didnt dissconect anything while you were taking out the needels. there is a little 3 inch black tube that connects the choke from each carb, and check the wires that go to the TORS Quote
blowit Posted July 18, 2008 Report Posted July 18, 2008 Do you have the slides in the correct way?? Brandon Quote
Ruko Posted July 18, 2008 Report Posted July 18, 2008 Also since you had it out, check to make sure your needles are still in properly and the clip or needle didn't break. I buddy of mine had his needle break right at the clip, it would idle with the choke on... but died as soon as you turned the choke off. Quote

blowit Posted July 18, 2008 Report Posted July 18, 2008 what do you mean slides ? Carb slide are directional but can be installed backwards. Cutaway on the bottom of them must be towards the air filter. Brandon Quote

blowit Posted July 19, 2008 Report Posted July 19, 2008 there put in right, could my reeds be stuck shut? No, that just does not happen. From the sounds of your issues, you have a pilot jet plugged. You may also check the carb slide sync to make sure both start coming up at the same time. If the bike just will not start without choke and you have checked all the simple stuff, take the carbs down and check the """pilot"""" jets. Not to be confused with main jets. Brandon Quote
