flattrackin92
I have got a builder telling me that they port there bottom end cases and i have never heard of this. Could someone fill me in on this or is this all false?
shanYE west
Yes, People do port the top case.. They match up the cases to the transfer ports on the cylinders Also hear about tunnel porting the cases.. but I think i'm confused on that one.. I probably know what it is, but I probably call it somthing differernt.
flattrackin92
Is that worth having done, do you know what kind of a difference it makes as far as power
NYUK
i have heard it ads 5 to 10 hp.
KaosBanshee44
Got mine ported to match mine. Gives it more space to mix the oil and gas to. What they'll do is give it a rough texture which helps in mixing
Wildcardracing
Right from the factory your transfer port area on your top case is smaller than the lower transfer ports on your cylinders (which are allready choked). Case porting is when you match the case to the cylinders and cut the base gasket to match as well. It gives the fuel air mixture are more direct route from the crank case into the cylinders. This will actually help power all the way through the rpm range. I would say gains are from 2-5 hp depending on rpm.

C&B
Can you say flow? It just helps with the flow/mix of the oil/gas.All my shit has been matched, helps all the way round. More flow=more power. Like he said every lil bit helps..
