2005 blaster

Bought new in December of 2005.

 

Metallic red frame with white body 2 stroke oil injected, 6 speed manual shift.

 

includes many aftermarket performance parts such as Maier Custom from & rear fenders, ITP holeshot H.D tires mounted on Douglas Quad-Rok heavy duty alloy wheels.

 

DG Alloy race peg nerf bars, DG front & rear fat series alloy grab bars, moose alloy handles & guards. Also FMF Gold Series faty pipe & power core 2 SST silencer and more totaling over $2000.00 in upgrades alone.

 

Well maintained ran real strong until just a couple of days ago when piston blew,Due to wrong carb tuning, easy fix new piston kit about $70. I can even do the work for someone if really interested.

What are they asking for it? and you need to have a machine shop check to see what bore size will clean it up.

Is this one you're trying to sell or looking at buying?? There's no asking price, and as a general rule you won't get your money back out of your mods. 05 Blasters usually go for between $1900 and $2500 around here depending on condition. Don't know what your market is there, but the majority of people just aren't interested in two-strokes any more.

yeah the only two stroke people are interested in is the banshee. none of the other 2 strokes are worth buying to me. i hate tyhose little blasters.

like i said this would be for my girl friend but im open to other suggestions for good bikes for her. she like the blaster because it fits her good. shes only around 5'5'' about 110 lbs.

well if you want to spend around 3000 you should buy a used raptor 350r. those are some good dependable rides. they arnt that fast but are average. they wont break much. my friend has fliped his about 6 times and the only thing that borke was the handle bars got bent. for a 1000 i would buy the blaster. but how much is it gonna cost to fix.

no problem. If you want sex every night you should deffinately just go the extra mile and get her the new can am 800 outlander. those are some beast. it isnt slow and it cxan go over anything.

 

This will empress her.

Worst case scenario:

Piston $75

Bore/hone $40

Crank $165

Gaskets $35

Seals $25

Labor to do bottom end $150

That's just a rough estimate off the top of my head.

If you can convince him it's !@#$ed and get it for $1000 then add the $500 to rebuild the engine, you've got yourself a $1900 quad for $1500 :thumbsup:
