 Hey was it normal for fmf pipes to be pounded in for clearance and a new piece of sheet metal welded on where the pipe goes past the cylinder? I bought this thing with the pipes allready on it, I think they are pretty old but not sure, did fmf have a problem with the fit and finish in the early years? But the biggest question of all, if I throw the pieces of crap away what is gonna give me the most gnarly top end? My shee has trinity stage 3 porting, +4 degree timing, trinity stage 4 cool head with I think 12cc domes (not sure on that part), lightened flywheel, 34mm mikuni flat slide carbs (that have been bored out to 35.5mm by k&t performance, or at least that is what I was told). Right now I am running 300 main jets and I probably need to step up a size (plugs look a little to white when I pull them). And I know you all are not fans of Trinity but give a brother a break I bought it this way and I still beat up on plenty of those four strokes that think they can hang!
