gemini Posted June 13, 2008 Report Posted June 13, 2008 any idea what size jets you have in there now? Quote
mopar1rules Posted June 13, 2008 Report Posted June 13, 2008 we need to know current jet sizes, elevation, current mods, and riding temps. most likely you will be adjusting the pilots. for sure the mains. Quote
quikshee Posted June 13, 2008 Author Report Posted June 13, 2008 ok im running size 200 mains and size 25 pilots. I have absolutely no engine mods, (the motor has never been opened up), im at about 650 ft above sea level and it can range anywhere from 60 degrees to 95 depending on time of day Quote
mopar1rules Posted June 13, 2008 Report Posted June 13, 2008 i would start out at 230 mains and 1-1/2 turns on pilot screw. you might have to fatten up pilots to 27.5, but just try the screw first and see. if its still too lean, even with it out like only 1/2 turn, if you have to turn it in that far then jump up to the 27.5 pilots. leave the needles stock w/clip position in the middle. quikshee Posted June 14, 2008 Author Report Posted June 14, 2008 alright thanks guys, when i get em i'll give it a go and let ya know how shee's runnin Quote
quikshee Posted June 23, 2008 Author Report Posted June 23, 2008 Alright fellas, I took the air box out, put the 230 mains in, adjusted the pilot screws and threw the pods on. It's a bitch and a half to try and start cold and when it finally does warm up it won't idle like it's supposed to, and when i give it some throttle it bogs way down and makes deep sucking sound and doesn't pick up until i get on the throttle. Will i need to put some 27.5's in???? I warmed her up and ripped her around the yard for a bit and then pulled a plug and it was nice and golden brown on the electrode but the area on and around the first few threads on the plug were completely black and wet. mopar1rules Posted July 3, 2008 Report Posted July 3, 2008 throw in some 27.5 pilots and maybe even some 240 mains.....depending on temps. try out and report back to us. Quote
