87bansheeguy Posted June 12, 2008 Report Posted June 12, 2008 My 1987 banshee is a tad rich some how with the k&n filter with the lid off, im added fmf fattys and pc2 silencers, timing plate +4, and 21 cc domes for the dunes sense im rich can i get away with not changing my main jets just tweaking it as far as air screw, clip ect. or could i take it to a shop and have them do something btw im in michigan detroit area heading to silver lake Quote

Bansh-eman Posted June 13, 2008 Report Posted June 13, 2008 you want to warm the bike up on old plug, then swap them out, to do a plug chop you need ot get to an area that you can get to 5th or 6th gear pinned for like 5 secs. once you get all the way up there kill the motor and come to a stop. pull the plugs out and replace them with your old ones, ride back to camp or house or what ever, take a hack saw and cut the threads off so the porciline is showing, you want a tan ring about 2mm thick that looks like the color of a paper sack. if its less your too lean if its more your too rich.
