Dinner Posted June 5, 2008 Report Posted June 5, 2008 What is your elevation and air temp? 200 Main sounds REALLY low for the carbs, especially with pipes and filter. You should probably be at least around a 260+ on the main (depending on elevation and temp). And as far as the pilot goes, you might be lean on that as well. How many turns is your air screw up when you see best performance out of the carb, off idle (while the bike is under load)? And where do you have the needle clip set? Oh, and are the carbs in sink, choke crossover tube in place? Quote
fastbanshee8 Posted June 5, 2008 Report Posted June 5, 2008 FMF pipes like a bigger pilot. Use a 27.5 for the pilot, and set both air mixture screws at 1.5 turns out, and it will start a helluva lot easier. It's starting hard, because it's lean. Quote

Oh, and are the carbs in sink, choke crossover tube in place? well i thought it was really low and temp is about 80 every day now and im at sea level and im 2 turns out on airscrew ,needle stock and the best peformance is 1-4 gears and 5 and 6 suck it doesent pull it sputters it feel like going from power band then i hit 5 and then it feels like a thumper and as far as carbs being in sync there ok but not perfected Quote
Wildcardracing Posted June 6, 2008 Report Posted June 6, 2008 At your elevation I would go 270 mains, 27.5 pilot, needle on middle clip and airscrews 1.5 out for your mods. That should put you real close, then do a plug chop to verify. Quote
