Bansh-eman Posted June 3, 2008 Report Posted June 3, 2008 Anyone from SD make the drive to Pismo? What is the best route to take? I will be heading out Friday morning. We are going to be staying at the Premeir Inn in Arroyo Grande Quote
Bansh-eman Posted June 5, 2008 Author Report Posted June 5, 2008 anyone? i am heading out tomorrow and would love to bypass all the bs on the freeway Quote
flyhighprerunner Posted June 5, 2008 Report Posted June 5, 2008 Once you get out of Santa Barbara its probably gonna be smooth sailing i think they are doing a little road construction in Buellton but you cant by pass that then when you hit Santa Maria they are widing the freeway but dont worry about that other than that its clear all the way from SB to the beach thats my report. Weather has been nice just a little windy weekend weather said high 65 and alittle windy in the late afternoon.... Quote

KEVSWS6 Posted June 5, 2008 Report Posted June 5, 2008 you think i should just hit the 5 all the way up? I do 5 to the 405 to the 101 on up. Quote
flyhighprerunner Posted June 6, 2008 Report Posted June 6, 2008 no i think the 5 would be worse cause they are doing major road work in cuyama on 166 i agree 5-405-101 prob be the fastest Quote
Bansh-eman Posted June 6, 2008 Author Report Posted June 6, 2008 yea i was looking at map quest and decided on 5-405-101. i was going to hit 166 but i could tell it turn into a small shitty road by the nation park area. Quote
2001Stroker Posted June 6, 2008 Report Posted June 6, 2008 Best thing I ever bought was a GPS. Mine constantly checks for construction, traffic, and accidents, and will re-route you to avoid it. If you ever spend your money on one, get a Garmin. Best money can buy. Quote

FireHead Posted June 6, 2008 Report Posted June 6, 2008 I do 5 to the 405 to the 101 on up. That route gets my vote. Quote
