Look around and decide if you want to cut your fenders, there is alot of metal tabs that can be cut off if you reduce your fender size. it would suck to have the frame pc'd and then find out you want to cut alot of that metal off. okbeast Posted May 27, 2008 Report Posted May 27, 2008 You can't PC the a-arms with teh bushings, so most people say... I had a buddy that did and his were fine, others I have heard melted w/e is inside it. If you know a powdercoater that has an IR lamp I think they can cure it that way. As for the steering stem bearings, I'm not sure if i took mine out when I did my build, I actually don't think I did, hm, oh well. Quote
flyhighprerunner Posted May 27, 2008 Report Posted May 27, 2008 i also cut the tabs on my frame were the stock pipes mount up on the bottom and the fender brackets like e-man said. I have always heard that its a 50/50 deal when you powder coat a-arms i have heard of people loosing the joint shortly after but then like beast said his buddies were fine...thats totally up to you. I removed by stem bearings with a screw driver and then i welded a bolt and nut together to fit the thingy in the stem you will see what im talking about... Quote

okbeast Posted May 27, 2008 Report Posted May 27, 2008 I don't remember, my buddy just happened to have oen that was close and we used it and a pipe wrench to get it out. From what I remember I never took the bearing out, just the seal, and then found out I didn't take the bottom seal out and it was fine, didn't melt at all. Now you got me wondering if i need to re-grease my bearing, dammit Quote
