quadrider13 Posted May 21, 2008 Report Posted May 21, 2008 Sorry to go over the same crap, but here we go. I have a completly stock Banshee I bought from my buddy. He has it jetted for 9 thousand feet and fuel mix is 36:1. Now that I have it, and only ride it at Walden, and love hill climbing. I have found that it will boil over. I assume it is too lean for hill climbing getting no air, and possibly need to try the mix at 32:1. Anyone else have this problem? Also runnin 13/41 gears and seem like it is just screamin coming up hills. Could I go to a 14/46 and be ok for getting more bottem end? I am not big on drag racing. love jumpin and climbin. And last but least. I dont want to do too much to the quad. Lookin to pipe (T-5's), pods, and maybe cool heads (dome suggestions?). Thanks for the help Quote
BellicoseBanshee Posted May 23, 2008 Report Posted May 23, 2008 Changing the fuel/oil ratio does affect the fuel/air ratio. The main jet, for instance, meters a certain volume of fuel per time. If the fuel/oil mixture has less oil per volume, then more fuel per volume is mixed with air causing a richer fuel/air mixture. Switching from 36:1 to 32:1 will not make much of a difference, but switching from 36:1 to 20:1 would. Quote
