NitroTate Posted May 16, 2008 Report Posted May 16, 2008 Hey guys, so I'm a tard when it comes to tire sizes so riddle me this... Will 10 inch diameter tires squeeze onto 11 inch rims??? dee dee dee Quote
Bansh-eman Posted May 16, 2008 Report Posted May 16, 2008 are you talking about 11 inch wide? yes they will fit, you just will loose some rollout on them. Quote

Bansh-eman Posted May 16, 2008 Report Posted May 16, 2008 yea they "should" seal but if you hit rough spots your chancing that the beads pop. spreading the width is one thing but diam isnt the best idea Quote
NitroTate Posted May 16, 2008 Author Report Posted May 16, 2008 yea they "should" seal but if you hit rough spots your chancing that the beads pop. spreading the width is one thing but diam isnt the best idea I'm actually going tighter on the rim with a smaller diameter tire so is that still able to pop off the bead then? I could understand if I were going larger... Quote
Bansh-eman Posted May 16, 2008 Report Posted May 16, 2008 oh you have 11 in tires going on 10 inch rims? you had it backwards. that will hold but your tires opening up is going to be insane once you lay on it with all the extra "loose" sidewall Quote
NitroTate Posted May 16, 2008 Author Report Posted May 16, 2008 Oh yeah sorry about that... Hmmm. well hopefully it will work alright, we'll see. I just got brand new haulers today and I have some loose rims sitting freshly PC'd waiting for them but just realized they are 11 in rims and 10 in tires and I have to get them mounted tomorrow at lunch because I'm going riding on Saturday. NitroTate Posted May 16, 2008 Author Report Posted May 16, 2008 wait, no I had it right... 11 in rims and 10 in tires Rims are bigger diameter... looks like we're both out of it tonight LOL Quote

NitroTate Posted May 16, 2008 Author Report Posted May 16, 2008 I've never heard of an 11" rim. I don't see it turning out too well I've got all kinds of 11x10 rims and 20x11x10 tires, they're pretty common. 20 is tire rollout 11 is rim diameter bead to bead 10 is width Correct me if I'm wrong Quote

NitroTate Posted May 16, 2008 Author Report Posted May 16, 2008 20x11x10 20 is tire hieght 11 is width 10 is yur rim diameter alway as been in that order Are you sure on that because I just measured from rim-lip to rim-lip across the diameter of the rim and it's 11 (not to mention the tires that I just took off the rims are 20x11x10. Then I measured from tire bead to tire bead across the diameter and the new tires (20x10x10) and it's 10 inches Quote
Bansh-eman Posted May 16, 2008 Report Posted May 16, 2008 yea your reading the number wrong tate. thats not the diam thats the width edit: i run 21 X 12 - 8 thats a 21 inch hieght a 12 inch width and a 8 inch diam Quote
