I just got some new vf3 reeds and was woundering whats the deal with the removable piece. Should it be removed or left in place. Seems like the engine would flow better or maybe more with it removed. Any info would be great,,,,,,,,,,,, thanks.

Thats the stuffer. Without it in there your cages would rattle loose and your reeds could fall out and make a trip through your motor. Best thing to do is match them to your intakes. If your intakes have a round outlet use the stock stuffer.. but if you intakes use a squared outlet then the best thing to do is call cascade and get a set of their VF3 stuffers. Or get crafty and port match them yourself to your intakes.

It's not actually removable............ it is a stuffer and it is supposed to be in there to keep the reed cage from unsnapping. If you don't like the round hole in the center, Cascade sells a different style of stuffer for those cages. :geek:
