pasedogg Posted May 10, 2008 Report Posted May 10, 2008 sounds stupid. but was reading through the clymers manual.says when checking the oil, put dip stick into threads, do not screw in. so what do you do, just put the dip stick in te hole untill it cant go further without screwign it in?????or do i screw it in, but just not tight, ???????help me out, dont wana loose my engine when i get my shee really going for the first time since i bought it. jamebo Posted May 10, 2008 Report Posted May 10, 2008 Uncrew the dip-stick, wipe it off then stick it back in without screwing into the threads. Pull it back out and where the oil is at is your reading. Quote
