Russb Posted May 4, 2008 Report Posted May 4, 2008 My Banshee, seems to only be running on one cylinder. When you rev up bike the left exhaust feels normal, exhaust comes out very forceful. The right side seems to smoke alot more and when i rev the engine the exhaust lightly comes out and i pulled the plug...it looks wet. Seems like when you ride it....as you get into the higher gears and wide open...it starts pulling better .....seems like as it heats up...the right exhaust stops smoking and and seems to run a little better! Any advise would be appreciated! Thanks Russ Quote

gumby6t9 Posted May 5, 2008 Report Posted May 5, 2008 do a search for compression test or compression check my guess is you have dirty carbs Quote
350BANSHEE350 Posted May 5, 2008 Report Posted May 5, 2008 compression test is easy, pull one plug and put the hose fitting into the plug hole, and then get on the bike and hold the throttle wide open and kick the shit out of it till the needle stops moving (make sure the bike is cold and OFF so it dont try to start) then switch sides and same procedure, anything higher then 100psi is good and both need to be 5 psi within each other, if all goes well there and after a carb cleaning, then you might have a bad seal on the right side crank.
