Hey guys need some help here, Just got my new engine together and took it to the local atv shop for pressure testing, base gaskets leaking all the way around (soapy water bubbles), the base gaskets are from a moose racing gasket set, both surfaces are very clean (used razor blade and scotch brite pad) no nicks in jugs or case tore down and added yamabond to base gaskets re-tested and still have some bubbles. Would a factory yamaha base gasket be better and what do I use for sealer on this gasket.

Thanks any help appreciated.

Is there the chance that something is warped there? Did you ever get the cylinders hot, overheated or locked up?

No never got hot ran great just decided to freshen up the engine and have it ported, motor put down 46whp on the dyno 2weeks before teardown. Maybe the base gaskets were leaking on the old setup? But now that i have it out I want it done right.

Depends, could be one, or both. They need to be checked for flatness by a shop or you could maybe do it yourself if they're bad enough.

Is there any chance that using the factory base gaskets will seal it up, they have a raised viton seal around the outside of the base gasket, the moose gasket is just flat with no sealers

Possibly, I've never used, less seen a moose gasket. But while you have it apart might as well check it or have someone look at it, it won't cost ya too much.

hmmm, with a coat of yamabond on there, i would think it should have sealed assuming everything was dirt/oil free and flat. You said it was clean, so that only leaves flat. I would be checking the deck with a straight edge.
