Best bet would be to do a plug chop on the jetting, but first you need to sync and adjust those carbs right, or you are wasting your time. You should be able to get it to idle with the air screw and make sure that it has the right pilot...........

I thought that the slides could only go in one way??? Because when i took mine apart there was a little nub that the slides have a groove for??? Someone chime in if im wrong..

Yea the slides only go in one way but if you put the left slide in the right carb and vise versa then the notches will line up. but it would be backwords.

Ya, and I've actually seen the after effects of a guy who put the slides in the opposite carb and when it wouldn't go, yes dillweed used a hammer and couldn't figure out why the slides wouldn't move up and down. So my dad bought it from him for $2500 because he couldn't get it to run and it was worth at the time $4000.................

Moral of the story: know what you are doing before you try to fix something, and never use a hammer when you can slide it in with your finger...............

Man that sounds bad :yelrotflmao: :yelrotflmao: :yelrotflmao:

May be mistaken but i believe you can only take a stock jug out .080 with a factory head, the head may need rechambered??? did you get the right size gasket for the overbore?? silly questions maybe but start with the top that u just replaced and work your way down, if it ran ok before with the jetting thats probably not your problem if its that noticeable.
