JasonsBanshee Posted April 23, 2008 Report Posted April 23, 2008 When doing a compression test you have to hold the throttle wide open. Why is that? Also, I'm assuming you shut the fuel off right? Quote
sinisterboo Posted April 23, 2008 Report Posted April 23, 2008 Yes, throttle wide open, petcock closed. you dont need fuel when you do it! make sure both plugs are out, and kill switch off. keep kicking it until the needle doesnt climb, and post your results!! by the way, if you start the bike and let it warm up before you do all this, you will get a more accurate reading. Animalman294 Posted April 23, 2008 Report Posted April 23, 2008 Ya, you need to warm up those cylendar's. The throttle is wide open to open the slides so that there is no restriction on the air path to the cylendar's............ Quote
