Yes, to my knowledge the engine and transmissions on them are basically the same as the introduction models. (all years)

Thanks, I thought they were, but I just wanted to be sure before I bought a used tranny & found out it was like a 5 speed or something..

Ya, there weren't to many changes done to the Banshee in all the years that Yamaha made them. I guess if ain't broke don't fix it. But they could have done something with the suspension though................
