When i took the the cases apart before i did it the tranny would only go into 2 gears it seemed like. There was no metal shavings or anything broke. I put the tranny back together and it did the same thing and i dont know y. Can anyone tell me y or what to check out in there? I looked at the book at how it goes together and everything seems right but its not.

man ive got the same problem right now.ive been staring at it for a couple days trying to figure the fu*ker out! someones gotta have an idea cmon fellas!

What gears? if one is Fifth the gear is locked up on the input shaft, if not. just check foe bent forks.

i dont even know what gears wont shift sometimes.it seems like when the shift star is in nuetral,the trans spins freely.i can hit first and second and sometimes i can get third.but if i keep shifting it it seems like the other gears are nuetral but the star isnt lined up in nuetral.also sometimes it seems like it shifts through all the gears but then i cant shift it back down,like it only does a half shift or something...pissing me off lol.so basically it shifts but not correctly.it shifted fine before i tore it down and i dont see anything bent.im lost and this manual dont tell me shit :shrug:

i dont like this tranny stuff it just confuses the hell out of me i cant get mine to do anything but shift into 2 gears

sounds like tthe shift forks are on wrong. the two n nthe back shaft are the same, but different from the front one.

we marked all of them and it was doing it before we took it apart
