06BaNsHeE Posted April 19, 2008 Report Posted April 19, 2008 Thought you had that thing tuned by nate? Yea he dyno tuned it but now we need to play with it a little bit just for our temps here Quote
NYUK Posted April 20, 2008 Report Posted April 20, 2008 I'm reading the same thing you are. They're also saying if you backup your time within 1.5%, it's legit. So...3.76 and 3.78 backup is less than 1%. Until they can positively proove otherwise, the times stand. Now if he ran a 3.76 then a 4.0..yeah, that'd be a problem. I should be able to tell by the time slips when he gets back if they're legit. Beam jumping screams high reaction time and low 60 foot time. Because the track hooks much better than our tracks, they put a wheelie bar on it and Frank is a MUCH better pilot than I am, let alone around 80 to 100 lbs less...I have no reason to think otherwise.... HERE IS VIDEO OF THE 3.76 PASS! http://x.cursedsanctuary.com/ HOLY SHIT! Quote
dajogejr Posted April 20, 2008 Author Report Posted April 20, 2008 HOLY SHIT! You just aint' right.... Quote
Hilarious Posted April 21, 2008 Report Posted April 21, 2008 HOLY SHIT! :yelrotflmao: :yelrotflmao: Quote
dajogejr Posted April 21, 2008 Author Report Posted April 21, 2008 Well...looks like the times weren't legit, a few tenths off. Still, I'm very proud... Legit time or not....2nd place is second place. In a big class, with a lot of drag framed bikes, lighter riders and a lot more tuning....that's saying something. Kudos to Frank... (My bike is on the left...lol) Any idea how bad I would love to have this plaque myself? I wouldn't dream of asking Frank for it, it's his and his alone...but...it would be cool sitting in the garage... Maybe we can share custody...LOL. Quote
okbeast Posted April 21, 2008 Report Posted April 21, 2008 So how do you know they weren't legit? And that's your bike...just not you riding it? Quote
dajogejr Posted April 21, 2008 Author Report Posted April 21, 2008 Correct. Frank Pizzo riding it.... Been a lot of talk, beam jumping, etc. A few of the guys came up with the timing lights, etc., were about 2 tenths off... The fact that Ohton said any times ran during the week were not legit unless they backed them up Saturday for records, etc. The races were legit...times were not. Guys from MI had a 20+ hour drive ahead of them, none of the guys in that crew rode Saturday to the best of my knowledge. Quote
njbanshee Posted April 21, 2008 Report Posted April 21, 2008 Congrats on the times, you should be proud! Quote
dajogejr Posted April 22, 2008 Author Report Posted April 22, 2008 Thank you to Travis for posting this and taking the video..!!! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bzESEiic3y4 Quote
J-Madd Posted April 22, 2008 Report Posted April 22, 2008 It is a fact that the guard beams were off all week except Saturday. They were having trouble with red lighting for no reason. It was mentioned during t/t Friday night that they had been off. Quote

I really, really appreciate the heads up. He earned it, I wouldn't DARE ask him to give it to me. On the same note...that will be cool as all hell to have one for my garage... Also...he rode anther guy's bike down there (yeah, he's pretty damn versatile) and I'll have to let him know!! Thanks again!! Quote
rubberneck Posted April 26, 2008 Report Posted April 26, 2008 Regardless of time, 2nd is 2nd and that is pretty cool in a crowd like that. Congrats man you should be proud. Quote
dajogejr Posted April 26, 2008 Author Report Posted April 26, 2008 He posted up the reason the times were off. new system...they had a porta tree engineer on site in the beginning....and it went kinda bad after. Some...not all of the times...were inaccurate. And as sure as I posted the impressive times, I'll be the first to say that they aren't correct once it was proven. J-Madd raced him, and as soon as he showed me the slip, the times were false. However, the MPH is correct (impressive to me) and the first bike to the finish won. And in heads up classes, 3 seconds or 10 seconds....time doesn't matter. Cross first...that's it. I'm very glad he pointed out I can go to lonestargraphics.com and get an exact copy of his plaque with my bike. bet your ass I'll have one in my garage. It will Never, ever turn those times with me. The fact that it can turn respectable times at an event of that size, in very capable hands makes me very proud to say the least. Now...I'm dying to ride...LOL. Quote
