03renegade800 Posted April 15, 2008 Report Posted April 15, 2008 I just got my hands on a 1987 banshee bored 40 over with a new hot rods crank and wisico piston kit, and tooney pipes, I got this (Not running), for 500.00. i think it was a good deal.. This bike is straight as an arrow, in great shape the stock bumper doesn't even have any dents, any ways as for my question. This thing has sat in a garage for about 5 years now and the white plastic has turned a little yellow, i was wondering if there is anything i can do, short of buying new plastic, to get this thing looking good again. by the way i cleaned the carbs drained the tank, added new fuel and she popped right off..... This is an awesome site... Quote
bansheemxkris Posted April 15, 2008 Report Posted April 15, 2008 If the plastics are not glossy anymore use some soft scrub with bleach. It will whiten them up. Quote
625banshee Posted April 15, 2008 Report Posted April 15, 2008 Use some paint thinner to get the yellow off, then wax and armor-rall them. Quote
