mopar1rules
i was looking at purchasing a set of vito reed spacers for my banshee. are they really worth the $40? do they improve the low end and midrange enough that it can be felt by the seat of the pants? how badly does it affect jetting? if it affects it, would it richen it or lean it? gumby6t9
The only thing reed spacers are good for are to make large carbs clear the clutch arm.
Snopczynski
Not true, they will also add mid-top power on a larger cc engine with a port job and stroker crank.
mopar1rules
Not true, they will also add mid-top power on a larger cc engine with a port job and stroker crank. so, it sounds like they are worth the $40 then...huh?

mopar1rules
so, i guess i'll just save the money then. do they at least help out throttle response?
dajogejr
so, i guess i'll just save the money then. do they at least help out throttle response? Yes... .25 HP.... I think I could take a shit and get that much from weight reduction....
mopar1rules
guys say that on larger cc engines then they would help. how big of an engine would i need to make them do something? mine is i think 362cc (.040" over).
dajogejr
Much bigger than a stock .040 over motor, and he said .25 HP. Sounds like you're stuck on buying them...go ahead.
Snopczynski
Is your motor a ported stroker? Probably not, so at 362cc you dont need to worry still. They make a difference on lets say 373cc and bigger with port work and a stroker. Thats the last time I am gonna say it.
