ex400 Posted April 13, 2008 Report Posted April 13, 2008 j arm are they any good because me friend said he will sell his 1987 banshee for 500 bucks but it has j-arm do you think that its worth it i also know were i can get 1995 with a-arms for 1200 bucks Quote
crustydemon Posted April 13, 2008 Report Posted April 13, 2008 They won the Baja 1000, I'd say they are ok. Quote
Dinner Posted April 13, 2008 Report Posted April 13, 2008 Their not as bad as people think. Sure they can go through ball joints quicker, but I ran them for 4 years and didn't have a problem. If you plan on keeping the front suspension stock, I would say go for it. But if you plan on widening the front, etc I would suggest a-arm frame. Though you can find some aftermarket J-arms here and there...A-arm frames are easier to find arms for... Quote
Bansheeb0y5505 Posted April 14, 2008 Report Posted April 14, 2008 Like Dinner said, they aren't as bad as everyone says. Actually, stock J-arm frames handle better than stock A-arm frames because it's less mass traveling up and down, which hence creates quicker smoother suspension travel. Just be prepared to replace bushings like crazy, and I mean it. Those suckers eat em up. And, like the other guy said, they won the baja with stock J-arms, im sure they won't break with people like is riding. Quote
