awesomeame Posted April 7, 2008 Report Posted April 7, 2008 going to install the twist throttle on my 'shee. WHY do i need to install the idle screws? can't i just adjust the throttle cable so that the cables are holding the slides up, instead of drilling holes into my carbs? --matt Quote
tidos76 Posted April 7, 2008 Report Posted April 7, 2008 they make it alot easier. You have stock carbs i'm assuming. the idle screws give alow the slides to rest on them. i like my slides to have a lil pressure behind them when closing, so they don't hang up. it also makes it easyer to sync your carbs. and not to mention i have had throttle adjustmen screws move on me at the dunes. riding back to cab with only half throttle is bad enought. if this happens without idle screws you wouldn't be able to let the engine idle.
