FOXBANSHEE30 Posted March 26, 2008 Report Posted March 26, 2008 ok my Banshee just started doin this yesterday, i have a Noss Head and there is a very small flow of coolant coming out of the top of the head at the sparkplugs. It still will start, but i figure i have messed up one of the o-rings in the head and they need to be replaced. Any Ideas? Quote
FireHead Posted March 26, 2008 Report Posted March 26, 2008 Check the torque on the cylinder head nuts. If that is ok, then you need to look at replacing the o-rings on top of the domes. Quote
FOXBANSHEE30 Posted March 26, 2008 Author Report Posted March 26, 2008 is there any way it could have just pushed the rings out or are they more than likely junk? Quote
njbanshee Posted March 26, 2008 Report Posted March 26, 2008 You shouldn't reuse o-rings. I think its only $20 for an o-ring kit. Quote
dlnoss Posted March 27, 2008 Report Posted March 27, 2008 That's an unusual place for a leak. I normally replace the orings when I take the head off but if you want to get just those two, I can give you a part number that should be good in an auto parts or hardware store. Let me know what they look like when you take the head off if you don't mind. -David Quote
FOXBANSHEE30 Posted March 27, 2008 Author Report Posted March 27, 2008 yea i would like to get her running again as soon as possible, so if you could hook me up with a part number it would be great if i could get the o-rings locally. thanks. Quote
dajogejr Posted March 27, 2008 Report Posted March 27, 2008 Are you sure that it's not coming from one of the middle 4 studs?? If it's the ones on top of the domes, I can mail you two as well...got a few laying around. Just cost me a stamp...but be sure! Quote
FOXBANSHEE30 Posted March 27, 2008 Author Report Posted March 27, 2008 yes it is def. coming from where the spark plugs are. If you could mail me the 2 where the spark plugs are that would be great, let me know, thanks. Quote
