ok guys i ran these carbs last season but have never dialed them in correctly. i'm currently running 165 mains and 45 pilots. i have a home port stock cyl and stock stroke. t5's ported reed cages w/single petal cf reeds.,k&n's , cool head 18cc domes, and i run 114 race fuel.

My guys would be my pilot need to be atleast 55 and i have no clue about my mains. the bike ran good on top but dogged out of the hole.

your mains and pilots seem big to me, I have a dune ported shee with 20cc domes v force 3 reeds and T-5's, 33 pwk's at 1000 ft above sea level and I run 158 mains and 48 pilots, and air screw 2 turns out, I think I have the CEL needle or it might be the CEJ, but they are on the middle clip. I'm not totally dialed in yet but its close. Hope that helps some.

I'm trying to tune in mine as we speak.

I started with a 150 and 50, needle mid clip.

I have t5s, milled head, +4 timing and no lid.

As said on PS...55 pilots are WAY too big for that motor.

smaller carbs pull fuel out of smaller jets better than larger carbs due to better velocity.

Start 1.0 turns out on the air screws, 45 pilots. If it ran good on top RPMs, the mains can't be too far off...

ok so i kept the mains in cause i'm sure they are atleast close. went with the 45 pilots 1.0 out. was still a lil boggy but better.( i was 2.0 out). i went to 0.5 out and it was even better. throttle response was better and idle was alot crisper. now should i go all the way in and see if there is more improvement. or should i move up a jet and start back at 1.0?

When I had 28's on my bike I started with a 40 pilot which had a big hesitation off of the bottom. Went to a 50 pilot and that seemed to crispin it up. Kinda weird being I just to 35's and they were the dead opposite. Had to decrease the pilot on the 35's.
