Hey there, i got a 2005 banshee with paul turner mid range pipes, and K&N air filter, with pyramid reeds and boost bottle. I use my banshee for Trail riding, playing in sand pits a lot, and the occasional drag racing. I was wonder what would be the best port job for me and bore and pistons.

thanks

where do you live man? I'm in NS too and so are a couple of other guys on here. It's no big deal to send your stuff down the states for a port job I've done it many times. Cost about 25$ to get it shipped. you wont regret sending them to a real banshee guy instead of some generic dirt bike/quad guys...

nobody but you can answer that. You need to discuss how you ride, your current and future planned mods, and plans for the bike with whatever builder you choose. I agree with the above posters, let someone who is familiar with the Banshee do the work and you will be much happier with the results.

To answer your first question. For trails and sand pits PT mids will work best with a trail/mx port. they are a torquey pipe that like lower revs than most other pipes out there. and its going to be enough to beat some mild 450's on the occasionnal drag.

the "best" porting will be precision porting designed spceifically for your mods and riding style ,this is why communication and the builders familiarity with banshees ,pipes and experiance is very important to the final outcome of your performance . one builders play porting is anothers drag port one guys stage 1 is anothers stage 6 ....sadly theres an abundance of confusing hocus pocus in this business .find a shop that listens and works with you to make an engine do what your looking for

don't be scared to send your stuff stateside. you want a shop with alot experience and knowledge, working on your cylinders.dealing locally is great, but people around here just don't have the knowledge that some of the big U.S. builders have.it's much better to deal with someone who has ported hundreds of cylinders rather than someone who is fairly new at it. get the most for your $$$$s!!! . tell the builder exactly what type of riding you do and they can suggest a complete set-up, right from the carbs to the pipes, that will be well suited to your needs. i sent my stuff to Louie at Twister Cranks and was not disappointed!
