lasvegasduner Posted March 15, 2008 Report Posted March 15, 2008 Put engine into drag frame.I moved cdi and coil.Four wires from engine to cdi.The other two,black to ground and yellow unhooked. From cdi i ran orange and black to ignition coil. I have the black out of cdi grounded.What else am I doing wrong.I have tried grounding the black red wire.Everything worked when i moved the stuff. Maybe these two schematics can help you figure out where the wires need to be. If all the wires are hooked up correctly, it might be time to start shooting wires and/or testing components. Banshee Electrical FAQ I eliminated everything except cdi box and ignition coil.I do not know if some of the other wires have to be grounded or not.The other wires i just put ends on them. Thanks for the reply. According to the electrical FAQ, the B/R wire needs to be grounded for the engine to run, and when the B/W wire is grounded, the CDI kills the engine. The B/R wire is connected to the black wire when the key is eliminated. Quote
