Major meltdown

Does anyone know a good way to get melted aluminum out of a chrome pipe without wrecking it. Its got a good even coat in it as far as I can see. Couldnt have done a nicer job if I tried.

Acetone or acid. Unless your pipes are paper thin, it won't effect the chrome on the outside of the pipe.

 

When a piston melts in a nikasil bore engine, they use acid to get the aluminum deposits clean from the bore.

It got in there from a melted piston.Ok, thanks I'll try the acid and see if it will come out.

muriatic acid. Available at a hardware store etc. Just don't get it on anything aluminum you care about. This stuff also works good for cleaning your garage floor in a diluted fashion prior to enameling it

humm thats wierd i have never heard of a piston being melted to the point that it will liquify and travel into the expansion chambers.
