Bansh-eman Posted March 9, 2008 Report Posted March 9, 2008 80w gearsaver isnt the same as 80w gear oil for a diff in a car. if you shake a bottle of 10w30 and a bottle of 80w gearsaver the 80w is just a little thicker. Quote
fastrthnu Posted March 9, 2008 Report Posted March 9, 2008 loco, you are my hero hahaha 80w is a little heavy. unless your running an abuser use 10w30. even if you think it sucks. the forums are getting into i use and its better lately. its bullshit. the people that know arent getting listened to. now, i have never adjusted at the adjuster but i can tell you that turning out your perch adjuster will get your actuator arm lined up with the pointer on it and the case. do this. you have to either tighten the cable at the perch. or drain your coolant, and oil, take off the clutch cover and loosen your cable a the perch then loosen or tighten the little set screw in the middle of the preasure plate while puting preasure on the actuator lever with your finger, then re set your cable. Aroows should line up like this...... I gave my opinion on oil I didt say it was the best. Its the best for me. I used 10w30 and it was shit. BTW Im pretty sure gearsaver is 80w too anyways, so is that to heavy? Alot of people run that ALOT! you always got some dumbass shit to say. Quote
extreem9 Posted March 23, 2008 Author Report Posted March 23, 2008 So I am taking my motor apart for a 4mill build and it seems that the ball is welded to the shaft that throws out the clutch, its doesnt seem to want to come out, from what I have read it I can get it out when I split the case. So hopfully that was the cause of the lunge. I am also gonna run type f tranny fluid and see what it does, that belray seems to make my clutches stick to the plates too well, I have to almost force them to come apart when I took them out of the basket. But it is all in preference. Good luck. Quote
