what year stator? I have one off a 2001, I believe it was 97 or 98 (somewhere in there), they changed the plug style

Mines a 96, I think that when they changed. Do you have a pic to check for sure? If is right, i'll take it...

here's a pic, dont know how well it helps with the plug picture, dont know how different the plugs look. (motherinlaw has my sd card right now so I have no way to put a pic of just the plug on today)
