The larger I am over the bike, the easier it is for me to throw around. you can widen it and jack it up of course. I fprefer to widen and squat mine. Quote
pasedogg Posted March 5, 2008 Author Report Posted March 5, 2008 thats what im leaning towards now. just widen it eh? how do you like your handle bars. Quote

pasedogg Posted March 5, 2008 Author Report Posted March 5, 2008 (edited) ya i think its not so much how high the bike is, its the low handle bars and how thin the wheel base is , i just feel out of place on it, so im gunna widen it up and raise the bars, make it comfortable for me.get some nice shocks Edited March 5, 2008 by pasedogg Quote
trav-99 Posted March 5, 2008 Report Posted March 5, 2008 i'm 6'1" and use fmf 909 bars, they have like a 5 or 6" rise. made a great difference in manuvering. i like to ride, or feel like i'm piloting behind the bars. not on top looking down over the front end like i get from low bars. Quote
dajogejr Posted March 5, 2008 Report Posted March 5, 2008 You don't want to just put longer shocks on to raise it...that will effect the geometry of the suspension. However, if you're a heavier guy, such as myself, you can have aftermarket shocks (which...you're gonna want with wider arms) revalved and resprung so it doesn't drop so much when you get on the bike... Who cares what you look like riding it...as long as you're in front...LOL. Taller bars will make it much more comfy for you to ride. See if you can find a taller steering stem, or have one made to your comfort level. Quote
KaosBanshee44 Posted March 5, 2008 Report Posted March 5, 2008 I would think the bigger the person the easier to ride i'm not 6' 2'' but i'm 6' 0'' and never really felt like that. You could be like my buddy that's my height and over 250 pounds and rides like a monster...lol Quote
bonbon Posted March 5, 2008 Report Posted March 5, 2008 I'm nearly 6'4" and weigh in at 225 and I like the stock width and the height of my banshee. I can beat it around like it owes me money. Once I cut all my fenders off it didn't feel so small or cramped anymore. The only thing I need is about 3 inches at the bars so it's more comfortable when standing. Your best bet is to go wider. When I ride a banshee with +2+1 arms and a +4 axle and I feel like I'm on a caddy. They are incredibly stable. Quote
pasedogg Posted March 6, 2008 Author Report Posted March 6, 2008 thanks for the input , any pictures of some high handle bars...im lookin some up now, just wana see what everyone else has got. Quote
