cato Posted March 4, 2008 Report Posted March 4, 2008 I am looking at buying a set of DMC 916's. I like to hill climb and do a little mx. My concern is if the silencer will hit the swingarm, etc. when I jump? Anyone have any problem with this? Thanks Quote
Fireroad Express Posted March 4, 2008 Report Posted March 4, 2008 (edited) great pipes, good low end and mid range.never hit the swing arm before and the bike has logged alot of airtime. Edited March 4, 2008 by the grinch Quote
cato Posted March 4, 2008 Author Report Posted March 4, 2008 Thats what I was hoping to hear!! Have you jumped it and landed pretty hard? Compressed the rear shocked pretty hard? Just want o be sure I don't buy something I damage on the first jump. Do they seem to be pretty strong, the way they mount? Thanks Quote
Fireroad Express Posted March 4, 2008 Report Posted March 4, 2008 (edited) i weigh about 200lbs and have hit the ground fairly hard.i'm fairly sure you can bottom the suspension out and not bend the pipes. Edited March 4, 2008 by the grinch Quote

jmd0346 Posted March 4, 2008 Report Posted March 4, 2008 Awesome pipe. It would be impossible to hit the swingarm. Quote
Fireroad Express Posted March 4, 2008 Report Posted March 4, 2008 the bottom of the silencer has about 10.5 inches of clearance before it would hit the top bearing carrier bolt (if it could). you'll definatley run out of suspension travel before this happens. heres a pic of the mount. Quote
