cvbadass Posted March 3, 2008 Report Posted March 3, 2008 I am getting a new head, does it matter what brand? Also what would I see more results from a new head, or vforce 3 reeds? Quote
LS1Inferno Posted March 3, 2008 Report Posted March 3, 2008 Head depending on the domes, the 3's are overpriced and not that much over other similar brands Quote
cvbadass Posted March 3, 2008 Author Report Posted March 3, 2008 I have boysen power reeds, but I heard if i bought the vforce3 reeds/cages it would be a big improvement. Quote

cvbadass Posted March 3, 2008 Author Report Posted March 3, 2008 http://www.bansheehq.com/forums/index.php?...hl=vforce+reeds thanks, Now is there a difference between brands on cool heads, I am looking at the vitos hemi head, basically because it looks cool but I also want a well performing head. My banshee runs really strong when the motor it cooler, and looses some of its punch as it warms up. Quote
LS1Inferno Posted March 3, 2008 Report Posted March 3, 2008 IDK i dont have one yet, but i dont know anyone that has a cool head that isn't NOSS, so ima guess its the best Quote
dajogejr Posted March 4, 2008 Report Posted March 4, 2008 Ok...a few things. VF3 didn't dyno better on Snop's bike. In every dyno run I've seen...your typical twin carb setup from T5 to Shearer out of frame pipes...the VFs did make more power. It depends on your application... Dave Noss makes a fine aftermarket head, as does Chariot IMO. If the bike runs better cold...is your jetting too rich perhaps? Cold motors like more fuel than warmed up ones (hence the need for a choke to start cold) I've yet to see proof of any aftermarket head keeping an engine's temps down. The benefits of an aftermarket head are replaceable domes to suit your needs and Orings to seal it vs. a head gasket. Each has it's benefits and disadvantages. Dave Noss is a great guy and a site sponsor. Give him a call....or visit his site. nossmachine.com Quote
