Could be loose wires. Chase all the wires down and make sure they are connected. That is a good starting point cause there are a lot of things that it could be. To check your coil you need a good ohm tester and a clymers manual. It will give you all the specs for the resistance in all the wires for the shee.

Also-if u have tors-disconnect the wires to the brain box on the left side front-its a little black box.mine went bad-no spark.disconnect-spark.have you had stator side case off lately?flywheel off?pinched wire?wire hitting flywheel?good luck!
