tnr Posted February 25, 2008 Report Posted February 25, 2008 I am looking to get some new pipes for the shee and I ran across these ESR pipes. Anyone have any clue about them?? I did a search and couldnt find anything, so had to ask. They almost look like a shearer, not sure. www.eddie-saunders-racing.com Thanks for your help.. Quote

When i was at dumont for new years one of the guys i was camped with had them. He claimed they were made by shearer. Thats all I know. He said the bike had the ESR 400kit and it ran OK. Quote
tnr Posted February 27, 2008 Author Report Posted February 27, 2008 Did they have a bigger chamber than the T-5's?? I cant find any info on them and the guy at the website doesnt know a whole lot about banshees, but he does know his 250R's. Thanks for the help... Quote

rubberneck Posted February 27, 2008 Report Posted February 27, 2008 Yeah, they looked huge compared to a t5 Quote

tnr Posted February 27, 2008 Author Report Posted February 27, 2008 The pipes didnt seem like too bad of a price. He told me $544.00 shipped to my door. That is with pipes, stingers, and silencers. I am still going to shop around and see if I cant find a better deal on those or something similar. Quote
rubberneck Posted February 27, 2008 Report Posted February 27, 2008 Yeah, that doesnt sound too bad at all. My smart ass remark was based solely on what the guy had told me he spent on the bike. He sent a basically new banshee down to ESR and had them do there 400 kit on it and all kinds of junk. He spent a lot of money for a bike that would barely put a bike or 2 on an RZ banshee with no porting up comp hill at dumont. Lets put it this way, I will have a lot less in my 421 cub from FAST and I gaurantee i will whip him. Quote
tnr Posted February 27, 2008 Author Report Posted February 27, 2008 Well, you gotta think of it this way, just how many cheetah cubs do you see compared to ESR bikes. There is a reason for this, and I know when it comes to the point of resleeving, I will just go cub. I asked the guy I was talking to at ESR what would the pipe kind of compare to, and he had no idea. I said is it like a T-5, shearer, CPI? His response, I dont know. He definetly did say that the pipe was their design and built to their specs. I dont think I will ever know how these pipes perform. I am one of those people who needs proof that something is good before I get it. Thanks for the input you had. Quote
WALLACE84 Posted February 27, 2008 Report Posted February 27, 2008 I noticed alot of people copy the shearer design. Esr,Rdz,Vitos, they all look liek shearers. I dont know about Esr pipes for a banshee but when I had my 250r, its was drag ported with an Esr Trx11 pipe and the bitch ripped Quote
inthemail Posted February 27, 2008 Report Posted February 27, 2008 whats the beef with shearers anyway? they look like any other pipe. are they a drag pipe like a CPI or more all around? Quote
flotek Posted February 28, 2008 Report Posted February 28, 2008 shearers are a very effecient pipe ,not a lot of lowend but they hit extremely hard and will pull on top rpms when most al lthe other pipes on the market have signed off ,definilty one of the best pipes on the market for a high rpms banshee ...matt shearer makes them for most the companies listed including the eddie sanders racing ,just cause it has a etch or stamp of another brand on it doesnt mean it wasnt a shearer pipe design ...same thing goes with power pros and trinity racing Quote
