Duneman101 Posted February 19, 2008 Report Posted February 19, 2008 (edited) These are the reeds i pulled off the 89, i am not sure what kind they are, i compared them to some known stock reeds and they are different. stock reads only have one divide, these have two.... and i have no idea what the yellow plastic things are, they look like velocity stuffers or something??? one of the reeds has a corner busted off, so i am going to need to replace the reeds, if someone knows or has an idea let me know. that orange gunk was some kind of silicone gasket that had been applied in such copius amounts that i was sickened at the sight. http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2016/227696..._0de9ba1a6b.jpg http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2001/227696..._d42bcf08ce.jpg http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2238/227696..._3ca3ea2c4b.jpg http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2390/227696..._30258473a5.jpg Edited February 19, 2008 by Duneman101 Quote

shanYE west Posted February 19, 2008 Report Posted February 19, 2008 Hmm.. not familiar with those.. Might be just the pictures but it looks to be wider then a stock cage. Suppose you could always call TDR and see if you can get a sheet of material and cut your own.. Quote
zach45 Posted February 19, 2008 Report Posted February 19, 2008 a shot in the dark.. VF ones? i never seen them b4 tho Quote

shanYE west Posted February 19, 2008 Report Posted February 19, 2008 (edited) I dont think them are the mossbarger reeds.. The insides look different. and the mossbarger uses 8 pedals 4 top and 4 bottom. They also use a long reed stop. I couldn't find any good pics of the inside of the mossbarger. But i suppose these will work. They are identical to the 1dir G3 power curve reed valves. Edited February 19, 2008 by Fouledout421 Quote
NYUK Posted February 19, 2008 Report Posted February 19, 2008 they are really old mossbargers. take my word i have handled quite a few. they still sell replacements for the old style.i just had a set a few months back with chipped petals. i searched and found they were right near me. that pic is the new style.they are 4 miles from my house. Well that would be a pretty good reason why they look different! lol I never knew they had a older design. I've only seen the new style. Quote

dajogejr Posted February 19, 2008 Report Posted February 19, 2008 They have been around forever... I had an 85 LT250 Quadracer in the early 90's, it had mossbarger... The old school case reed induction vs. the intake blocks most use now.... Quote
