fastrthnu Posted February 16, 2008 Report Posted February 16, 2008 Im trying to broaden my search for wide a arms (over +2) and wondering if these other yamaha bikes a arms are direct bolt ups? then I could look into aftermarket a arms for these as well.?. Or who sells good +3+1`s for banshee? theshee Posted February 16, 2008 Report Posted February 16, 2008 Dont do the 450 arms. They sit low and are kinda chicken shit how they are cut to fit. Much better off with a good set of aftermarkets. Quote
fastrthnu Posted February 16, 2008 Author Report Posted February 16, 2008 I 2nd the Wicked! the last pair of wicked I looked at didnt have gussets at the shock mount. Quote

I know that the good asr sets do,. so I was eye`n those. But it appears they they are adjustable from +2 to +3 and that sounds cheese to me to. LSR doesnt make +3 anymore for banshee, and I cant find em made by laegers either. Thats why I wanted to see if the other newer yamahas fit so I could check out say,,, houser that doesnt make an arm for banshee. Quote
speed-racer Posted February 16, 2008 Report Posted February 16, 2008 The yfz450 arms do sit kind of low, but they can be modified in a way that looks good when completed. Some will argue that the geometry is not as good with a yfz arm as an aftermarket, but you will never get good geometry from a stock banshee frame. I have yfz arms on my banshee and they turned out nice....rides a ton better than it did from the factory. I just didn't feel like spending the money for a nice aftermarket arm and putting it on a poorly designed frame. Others have put honda 450r shocks on the yfz450 a-arms to put them closer to factory ride height. Quote
