kotin6 Posted February 13, 2008 Report Posted February 13, 2008 I rode to the car wash the other day and washed off the shee. When I went to pull out of the stall I realized I was missing a pod filter. Im sure some water got sucked into the intake. I know I should have covered the filters and shit but I didnt and and now this is where I am. If I put some of that fuel stabelizer shit through it that is suposed to take out the water (like HEAT) will that be suficent? Also if anyone has a spare pod filter laying around let me know. Quote
inthemail Posted February 14, 2008 Report Posted February 14, 2008 its a 2 stroke, as long as you get it started the water will just burn right out. id only be worried about water in the....hmm wait a second. anyone else? id think that getting it good and warmed up would evaporate it.... however i wouldnt ride without a filter thats bad jetting Quote
snowmanzz13 Posted February 14, 2008 Report Posted February 14, 2008 (edited) water doesnt exactly evaporate, it just compresses and decompresses in the cylinder, hopefully it would be pushed through the pipes but you never know, and also water doesnt lube as well as oil so i would think just drain the oil out of the motor and put new oil in and clean out the carbs in case theres water in the bowls, if there is you will notice it with the lack of power Edited February 14, 2008 by snowmanzz13 Quote

If it did, the water will bead up on the bottom because of the oily residue and the windage from the crank and intake will atomize it and it will be gone. Pull the carb out of the intake and see if its damp in there if not,. nothing hapened. Quote
NYUK Posted February 14, 2008 Report Posted February 14, 2008 if it fired up i wouldn t worry about it. it blew through in the 1 st couple hundred revs. Quote
