cato Posted February 7, 2008 Report Posted February 7, 2008 A buddy of mine just bought some used toomey T5's. He needs to know what jetting to start at. All he has is Uni filter with proflow adapter, snorkel removed. It is about 50 degrees in winter and 90 in summer, he's 800ft above sea level. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks Quote
rubberneck Posted February 8, 2008 Report Posted February 8, 2008 During winter at least 300-310 mains, 25 pilots, 1.5 turns on air screws 3rd to 4th clip from blunt on needle. summer when it is warmer may be able to drop down a couple of sizes on main jet, but will need to check plugs to verify. If he is still using the lid (you only stated the snorkel is removed) this jetting will be fat for him... If he removed the lid and is making use of the pro flow adapter...then these are good jetting specs. Quote
cato Posted February 8, 2008 Author Report Posted February 8, 2008 Yes he is still using the lid just no snorkel. He has 270 main 27.5 pilot, 3 clip on the needle. I will show him how to do a pug chop. I thought the pilot was to big but was not sure about the main. dajogejr Posted February 8, 2008 Report Posted February 8, 2008 In my opinion, the stock pilot is just fine since he's running a full airbox sans snorkel...even in the cold weather. Quote
