ok so..... when I talk to my machine guy..how much can I tell him to take off??

There is another thread on here where a guy took off 0.020" and still had 0.035" squish clearance. Most guys run around 0.045" squish. Your call from here on out. If the squish is too tight, the piston can hit the chamber of the head.
