gentner8 Posted January 13, 2008 Author Report Posted January 13, 2008 I have the MSD ignition, and they do make an inline charging system for it, that plugs in between the stator, and the voltage regualtor. It will charge the battery while riding, as long as the RPM's are above 3500, but you will need a cheap charger, that you can plug into a wall outlet, or hook up to a 12 volt battery on a car or truck. Sometimes the battery will lose it's charge, if the bike sits for extended periods of time. I had an MSD on a 400EX I used to have, so I assume that its very similar. Will this allow me to bypass putting the advance ignition plate in the banshee? Is it a true Multi spark discharge, or are they just using the name? Quote
gentner8 Posted January 13, 2008 Author Report Posted January 13, 2008 Compression test complete. I am running about 120 psi per side and they seem even. The engine sounds tight, and hopefully this confirms this. Now I know for sure that I can start outside the motor for now. This makes me feel a lot better since I dont have to R+R the topend in the cold. Quote
