oceansidesurf Posted January 12, 2008 Report Posted January 12, 2008 Hi All, Gotta question for the experts: My stock 2000 Banshee would start, then almost immediately quit firing on the left side. I took the carb off, checked the reeds, put in a new plug: Same problem. I then unplugged he TORS wires from the carbs. The bike then started and ran fine, but when riding it up and down the street, anything more than about half throttle, the left side quits firing. Any ideas? This one has me stumped! Thanks for any advice! Brian Quote
shee rips Posted January 12, 2008 Report Posted January 12, 2008 seeing how unplugging the tors helped, i would remove all of that stuff, and the parking brake, and then go from there. Quote

Thanks, that's my plan for tomorrow. If I unplug the TORS at the carb, does that mean that the parking brake switch is now useless? Or, could the TORS still be affecting the left carb? I read the write-up as to how those things worked, to the best I can understand, just unplugging them should do the trick to isolate that whole mess, right? Thanks Quote
Screamin Banshee92 Posted January 13, 2008 Report Posted January 13, 2008 I have a similar problem. However I haven't looked into it yet. Replaced plugs and cleaned air filter. I was thinking it was something with the electrical system. Mine seems to cut out on the right or throttle side of the atv. If I thrash it it runs ok but at low speeds or quick throttle hits it bogs the takes of. Almost as if a plug was fouled. Quote
