on a stock motor i would say 110 or less and its time to order parts for a rebuild but you can still ride it if it start ok. if its below 100 then dont even ride it or you risk damage. just put it away until the rebuild parts come in.

i guess its time for a rebuild than

94psi on each cylinder.

should i go with new pistons or just a new set of rings?

and ps: bike starts perfect. first kick. dont know if that has an affect in anyway

I would say, just get the rebuild kit. No sense in taking everything apart to replace one thing. Best just to have the piece of mind that everything is new

IMO... thats what im doing... that and getting it ported

ya, i was just looking at the wiseco rebuild kits. there not too pricey.. 159.99.. for the pistons, rings, clips and pin. no pin bearing.

im thinking thats the easy way outta this.

so ive been looking at these noss heads.

can i get one of these with the 22cc domes and just bolt it right on with stock pistons and rings?

and these oring kit or something? what are these? and the 22cc domes do these add 22 more cc's?

im obviously new to this stuff and have no clue how it works.

ive been looking at these http://www.nossmachine.com/banshee_heads.htm

the one at the top of the page says " no stud changing"

im thinking on the red anodized one.

any help with these?

thanks

You can use it with stock pistons and rings. The size of the domes you would want depend on your elevation and what type of fuel you want to run ( pump gas/ race fuel) Talk to David at Noss machine and he can help you determine what size domes you need. The o-ring kit comes with it along with acorn nuts and washers. It works with your stock studs.

but are these even worth getting?.. do they do anything at all besides cool the motor better? such as add more power?

Well, I just installed mine the night before last. I got home from work yesterday and took it for a test spin and right away I noticed a nice increase in bottom and mid range power. It pulls a lot harder from the bottom of the powerband to the top with crisp power. I'll have to wait for the weekend to get more riding time in on it, but I am very satisfied with it already. I think it is a very good investment.

Sea level is your friend. Even more so,... cool 40-50 degree seal level with no humidity. Sea level and pump gas a 21 cc is good n safe. Noss heads are the shit!

ive been comparing prices and they all seem pretty close. 10 to 15 bucks off some.

The cool head

domes

acorn nuts

orings
