I got two seasons on mine. Just out of curiousity. I know you got to tear it down to really see if it has to be done. but give me your answers? thanks. Quote
zach45 Posted January 4, 2008 Report Posted January 4, 2008 i have never done mind... but i think most people do it every year.... paint touch ups.. up grades all that fun stuff.. Quote
#52banshee Posted January 4, 2008 Report Posted January 4, 2008 Usually, you do it every year, at least we do around here. I do mine about 2 times a year. If i am really hard on it, like say in racing, then I tend to listen to it and check on it a little more, like change the oil at least every other race, just simple stuff like that. Quote
shanYE west Posted January 4, 2008 Report Posted January 4, 2008 It depends on what you have done to the motor and how many hours are on it. My Dune motor I rebuilt the topend about every 3yrs. Quote
Canadarider Posted January 4, 2008 Report Posted January 4, 2008 I only race my banshee i rebuild it from the ground up every winter and reabuild the topend every 10 to12 hrs oil changed after each race , only run 113 gas, right now i got 10 hrs on my topend and have ice racing right now ill rebuild it after thats done , my yfz is a back up / mx racer its got a 1000$ ported head on it and i rebuild the topend every 20hrs oil changed after each race if u keep your stuff up its going to last a long time Quote
