BIGSHO Posted December 23, 2007 Report Posted December 23, 2007 (edited) my bike has pipes, jetted, k&n tors removed, no mods recently. the throttle stuck while i was riding today. i pushed in the throttle and it got really hard to press. i let off it and it was stuck so i just tapped it a few times to see if it was hung up and it stayed stuck wide open. got the bike home and checked the cable going in on top of the carbs, pulled both out of the boot but the didnt seem to be hung up. the thumb thottle also movses freely now. also it is just the right side stuck cause only one cylinder is revving up when i start it. any other suggestions? thanks Edited December 23, 2007 by BIGSHO Quote
shee4speed Posted December 23, 2007 Report Posted December 23, 2007 Is there dirt or sand in the slide causing it to stick? Quote
91banshee Posted December 24, 2007 Report Posted December 24, 2007 make sure theres not a lot of play in the thumb lever that would casue it to hit inside the housing of the thumb throttle , i had one hang up there and i had to bend the lever in side where the cable goes through up so it would hang up. look over the cable also , theres a hang up somewhere see the mark in the housing Quote
BIGSHO Posted December 24, 2007 Author Report Posted December 24, 2007 there could definitely be sand in the slide, but there is no hang up ath the lever or on top of the carbs. both have play that why i dont get it. Quote

BIGSHO Posted December 24, 2007 Author Report Posted December 24, 2007 only one cylinder is running wide open though. that wouldnt cause a malfuntion at the lever then both would be firing wot right??? Quote
