T-daddy Posted December 9, 2007 Report Posted December 9, 2007 my shee only idles with choke on i warmed it up to see if thats the reason it wont idle with out choke but nothing it just shuts off if choke is in but if i pull it out half way it idles for about 30 seconds and dies do i need to adjust my airscrews or what Quote
brian Posted December 9, 2007 Report Posted December 9, 2007 If it's that bad, adjusting the air screws prolly won't get you there. Has this setup run good in cold weather before ? Or, is this a new setup for you ? Quote

brian Posted December 10, 2007 Report Posted December 10, 2007 maybe your best bet is to start with a tors removal kit. there are idle speed adjustment screws on the top of the tors body. Adjusting them might help out a little, but since you've unplugged them anyway, might as well do it right. rockymountainatv.com sells kits for the removal. after you get it installed i would suggest that you check your jetting. also, what mods have been done to the bike ? shanYE west Posted December 10, 2007 Report Posted December 10, 2007 (edited) Sounds like you need to go bigger on your pilot jet What jettin are you running currently and what mods are done to the bike? Edited December 10, 2007 by Fouledout421 Quote

bigboybanshee Posted December 11, 2007 Report Posted December 11, 2007 Go up one size on the pilot jet, you have the classic sign of it being too lean (pulling choke and it runs / runs better). It's showing now because colder weather makes your jetting leaner than it would be in the summer. Hot weather - go down on jetting Cold weather - go up on jetting Main jet would be determined by a plug chop  Quote
